Gardener's Conundrum
Why is it so easy to look at ads for garden plants and find all kinds of pretty stuff I want to have in my yard -- and so hard to figure out where to plant them once I get them home? Right now I've got half a dozen azaleas, a hydrangea, two columbines, and a dianthus waiting for me to dig holes in the ground for them. Meanwhile, they're sitting in the pots, which I have to water often enough so they don't dry out, at least when I'm not bringing them under the porch roof so they don't drown. Oh, yeah, I forgot about the coreopsis and lily-of-the-valley.
After yesterday's rain maybe I should be looking for water lilies instead.
