Severe weather

Now that I've ripped out those old holly bushes and have a bunch of plants ready to put in, it's gotten too damned hot to work outside. Current severe weather alert for Tidewater:

...A COMBINATION OF HIGH TEMPERATURES
IN THE MID 90S AND HIGH HUMIDITY WILL PRODUCE HEAT INDICES FROM
100 TO 105 ACROSS CENTRAL VIRGINIA AND MOST OF EASTERN VIRGINIA AND
NORTHEAST CAROLINA THIS AFTERNOON AND WEDNESDAY. THE ONLY
EXCEPTION WILL BE NEAR THE IMMEDIATE COAST WHERE HIGHS IN THE LOWER
90S WILL ONLY HAVE HEAT INDICES APPROACHING 100 DEGREES.
Got that? ONLY approaching 100 near the immediate coast. Bleah. This weather sucks. Have to keep reminding myself that at least I don't have to drive in the snow in the winter.

I'd better go water those poor plants before they shrivel up and die.

Boy, you sure know how to make me not miss living there one bit. ;-)

Still, it would be nice to grab a lunch with you in some nice air-conditioned restaurant...

I could go for that. :-)

Yeah, those hills in Ithaca during the winter were oh so much fun to drive up... that I don't miss either.
