What part of 'Do Not Call' don't you understand?
I will be so happy when this gubernatorial election is over and done with. I'm sick and tired of the campaign phone calls. My phone is on the Do Not Call list, and IMO that should apply to all telemarketers, whether they're trying to sell me replacement windows or some jerk who decided to run for office. If I wanted to replace my windows, I sure wouldn't have it done by some random company with an auto-dialer. And if I'm not already planning to vote for someone, a phone call from a campaign supporter sure isn't going to change my mind.
Half the calls are automated recorded messages (which one can hang up on without further ado, but I shouldn't even have to answer the damn call in the first place). But some have live people on the other end, and the next time one of them asks me if they count on my support at the polls, my answer is going to be, "No, I won't vote for anyone whose campaign bothers me on the phone. You just failed the test. Goodbye."

I got those, too.
Did you also get the mailings? I received roughly 4 per day during the week leading up to the election.
Oddly enough, I got very little campaign mail. Thank God.
When I got home from work Tuesday, there were four more calls onthe answering machine.
