Wading through this weather

As of last night, the Weather Channel's forecast for today for Norfolk/Va Beach:

Windy. Rain, heavy at times early. High 56F. Winds NE at 25 to 35 mph. Chance of rain 80%. Rainfall possibly over two inches.

Two inches?! I thought it must have been an error, but looking at the swamp that is my yard, I guess it was accurate. Which means the lawn will need cutting again, but of course I won't be able to cut it until the waters recede.

I guess I should just be thankful it wasn't snow.
