Word of the Day: Itinerant
itinerant: n. One who travels from place to place. In my 55 years on this Earth, I have had 19 discrete residences/mailing addresses in four states. My longest tenure in one place was a couple months shy of 25 years. My shortest (which immediately followed the longest) was a bit under three weeks. I had around 15 phone numbers in that time, of which 8 or 9 were actually "mine" -- i.e., phone service in my name or my ex's.
How itinerant are you?

Hmmm... well let's see, Illinois, Ohio, 4 Syracuse dorm rooms, Syracuse post-college, West Seneca, Cheektowaga, Lockport, Tampa.
That's 11 in almost 34 years. 13 phones numbers (but that includes 2 cell phones). The longest was about 17 years in Ohio (which doesn't count summers at home during college), and the shortest was about 5 months before I moved to Tampa.
Eh, I didn't count my cell phone. Doesn't really count since it's not tied to a residence.
My parents moved when I was a year old. Discounting the house I "lived" in before that, I've had 9 different residences in four states. I occupied 4 between summer 1991 and summer 1992 alone.
