"Very innovative TCG"?

Glancing through the business section of the local newspaper this morning, I chanced upon the cryptic headline "Waterside Invests in Card Company". Thinking vaguely that it was probably something to do with credit cards, I nonetheless took a closer look. Imagine my surprise to find that the "card company" referred to was in fact The Company that so many of us knew so well, and that the "initial investment" was to the tune of $450K. A bit of Googling turned up the website of investment company Waterside Capital Corporation, complete with a news release on the topic that included the following interesting passage:

... changes in the trading card game industry and management issues created some challenges for the company.

[The Company] CEO ... says the company has worked through those issues and is coming back strong. "We've had many successful products in the past and we're looking forward to adding several profitable new products to the company’s line in the near future." [He] says [The Company] is on the verge of announcing a very innovative trading card game before the holidays.

Ye Gods. You don't suppose it's, oh, something named after a color?

This should be fascinating.

Named after a color? Kim and I just spent a couple minutes brainstorming, and I guess we're too far out of the loop - we can't think of it...

Hiya, Kathy!

Amazing story there. I did get the color reference, and boy is that an inside joke.

Can't wait to see this new TCG! Some good guys have been working on it.

(Not me.)
