Introducing Major Rakal's book reviews

I love to read -- always have -- and have had plenty of time to do so since my layoff. My favorite genre is, as you might expect given the theme of this blog, science fiction (with a touch of fantasy thrown in), though I also frequently delve into mystery, action/adventure, history, biography, humor, and anything else that catches my eye at the library. So I thought I might try my hand at a few book reviews. Not necessarily new books, just something that I've read and (usually) enjoyed. Look for the first one tomorrow, a rather odd selection from one of my favorite sci-fi authors, Robert Heinlein.
