I could take another picture of my microwave oven's display, but a plain dark rectangle wouldn't be very interesting. Yes, the display's revival appears to have been every bit as fleeting as I had anticipated. It lit up on Wednesday, and by Saturday the numbers – or parts of them – were randomly winking in and out throughout the day. Today it's gone completely dark again and shows no signs of life.

Drat. And I didn't even have a chance to nuke a bag of popcorn on automatic.
